Purpose of the Role
The purpose of the role is to lead a team to design, deliver and develop digital and classroom based technical and developmental training programmes for our people.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Team Leader
- Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
- Set clear team goals
- Develop plans, delegate tasks, and set deadlines
- Oversee day-to-day operations
- Monitor team performance and report on metrics
- Discover training needs and provide coaching
Subject Matter Expertise
- Identify appropriate learning approach
- Conduct needs assessment
- Design material and training course content (including videos, quizzes, and activities).
- Set learning objectives for each course
- Determine evaluation criteria
- Organise physical and digital resources for instructors and trainees
- Provide supporting manuals and guidelines to support content
- Follow up with trainees and instructors after each course to assess implementation and gather feedback
- Research and recommend modern educational methods
Interpersonal and communication skills
- Develop and maintain relationships with key colleagues and other relevant parties
- Develop communication and engagement plans
- Collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders to deliver relevant and quality output
Technical Expertise
- Work experience of 2 years as an Instructional Designer or similar role
- Work experience with Learning Management Software (LMS)
- Good knowledge of video editing software
- Ability to write clear instructional manuals and guides

Qualifications
- 2 years’ work experience as an instructional designer
- Relevant instructional design qualification desirable
